About Tammara Denise

Tammara Denise is the CEO and founder of the 501(c) nonprofit organization CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM. Before retiring, she worked for WLOK radio in Memphis, Tennessee, for 16 years and for WMC5 television in Memphis for 13 years.

She founded CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM in 2002. Through the organization, she works with underprivileged children in Memphis, mentoring them, helping them pursue college, and encouraging them to mature into successful men and women in their community.

Tammara has been married to poet, author, and preacher Robert L. Shepherd Jr. for 42 years. She is also an ordained missionary in the Church of God in Christ and co-hosts the local and national television broadcast A Study of the Word with her husband.
